PGCB #125 - A Color Challenge

I can't believe that it is already April. The time is just flying by this year! Erica from the Paper Girls challenge blog has challenged us to create a project inspired by a beautiful color combo with vibrant spring colors. Here is my project:

No automatic alt text available.

I used papers from the Diane collection from SEI which matched perfectly with the scheme - they are beautifully glittery too. I colored the adorable tea cup stamp from Close to My Heart with CTMH watercolor pencils and blending pen. I added a tiny bit of orange hemp twine for the tea bag. Here is the color scheme I was trying to follow:

I used all My Favorite Things dies for this card; BluePrints 18 and BluePrints 14 (trimmed down a bit), and the mini scallop border die (which appears to be discontinued because I can't find it on their website) for a bit of detail along the edge in the center of the card.

I was inspired by the MFT sketch challenge this week as well as the Tea Time challenge on the Heart 2 Heart challenge blog - they all combined perfectly to make this sweet and colorful card.

I hope that you'll join the Paper Girls with this fun color challenge. You have until 11:55pm (MST) on Saturday, 4/15 to link to your project.

PGCB #123 - Luck of the Irish

Hello crafters!

I'm hosting the Luck of the Irish challenge on the Paper Girls Challenge blog this week! I'm challenging everyone to create an Irish or St. Patrick's themed project.

Here is the layout I created for this:

I cut the title, shamrocks, and the little worm using the Create a Critter cartridge from Cricut. and followed the instructions from a free sketch from Scrapbook Generation as my inspiration. All the papers were from my stash, no specific brand or feels nice to use up my supplies!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you'll join us for the challenge and link a project to the post before Saturday March 18th, 11:55pm MST. I'd love to see what you create!

Take care,
