Growing In Unity Blog Hop!!!

Hello and happy Sunday! I'm hopping along with the other incredibly talented Growing In Unity girls over the last several weeks to give you another exciting chance to win! You should have arrived at my blog from Doreen O'Brien's blog.

Here is the fantastic line up:

  1. Patti La Bombard
  2. Amy England
  3. Helen Mazengarb
  4. Doreen O'Brien
  5. ME --> Brittany Morgan
  6. Teresa Godines
  7. Unity Blog
With school nearing to a close, I wanted to create a few cards for my kiddos to let them know what a great job they did this year. I couldn't resist using the Lil' Smartie Pants stamp - that darling lil' bird was perfect!

I colored the adorable bird with Copics then cut it out and popped it up with foam tape. I die cut the card base, circles, and pennants using the Blueprints 13 and 18 by My Favorite Things - and also popped them up using foam tape. The glitter heart gems from CTMH added just the perfect balance and touch. At the last minute I decided that the plain white background was a little too much, it was really bright and boring - so I toned it down by adding grey water color stripes for an interesting zebra stripe look (although I wasn't sure I was going to like it - and lucky I loved it, phew).

Thanks for stopping by to visit! Please don't forget to leave a comment AND visit all the other blogs in the line up for a chance to win! Click on the button below to visit Teresa Godines next!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

PGCB #104 - Inspiration Picture

Karrie from the Paper Girls has given us a fantastic inspiration picture to challenge us these next couple weeks!

I loved the colors and the swirls in the graffiti - and it reminded me of one of my favorite (and now very old) paper collection from Basic Grey's Green at Heart and a really fun paper lace die cut I saw on Design Space for Cricut (#M44609). So, I created this layout to document my recent birthday outing with my sister :)

If you're just as inspired by the fun picture as I was, you have until Saturday, June 4th at 12pm to link up to the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

PGCB #103 - All About the Ladies!

I'm playing along with the Paper Girls and Christina asked us to create something that features the ladies our lives - the timing couldn't be better with Mother's day this month!

I created a layout to document a girls only day with my daughters that was out of control silly. We gave ourselves facials, complete with mud masks and cucumber eyes :) The girls looked so cute, I couldn't resist getting a few pics of their messy faces!

I used Teresa Collin's paper collection "You Are My Happy" for this - the colors in the picture don't really show it well, but the pinks and neutral tone in the papers really complemented each other. The glitter gems are from CTMH, and the corrugated Kraft letters are from Pebbles.

PGCB #102 - Fancy Folds

Hi there!

The Paper Girls were challenged by Erica to create a project with unusual or unique folding. I ended up changing up my card base an did a double z-fold card (following the instructions and inspiration from this page, just a little more simplified).

I used an older patterned paper pack from CTMH called Sophia paired with matching CTMH solid cardstock in blush and creme brulee. I die cut the circle and scalloped circle with dies from Papertrey Ink, and hand cut the stamped label with the sentiment - the stamps are from two different sets, Holiday Tags (D1560) and Just to Say...(D1629).
