Opal #5

It has been so lovely here in the Northwest these last couple weeks.  Perfect sunny fall days! Halloween was a huge treat to all of us this year.  Although pretty cold, there was NO rain, and it was a dream!

I wanted to try to get more scrapbooking done before I posted my Opal challenges, but alas, life got in the way.  Oh well...at least I got one of the challenges done for Opal 5, I'll have to catch up next week with Opal 4.

Here is my version of this awesome sketch by Cathryn Hanson:
I had to get a couple extra pics on the page, and this Piggy Tales paper (from an older collection) is just too cute!
Here is the link to the Mid-week Mojo challenge if you're interested in playing along.

Opal #3

Happy Sunday everyone!
It's been a nice lazy weekend for us around here, so it was a perfect time to scrapbook!  Here is my take on the Opal #3 sketch by Kristy Lee:

Opal #2

I had a lot of fun creating this darling layout of Madison's first salon day.  The girly touches were a stretch for me, but I'm really liking how they turned out.  I must try using lace and glitter more often!

Kristy Lee did a wonderful job on this sketch...very fun challenge!

Opal #1 Challenge

Yay, I finished a couple of pretty cute pages thanks to Scrapbook Steals 10 week scrapbook challenge.

Here is my take on the adorable sketch for Opal #1, Spring Love.  Dear Lizzy Spring collection papers and embellishments were a perfect fit for my sister and her fiance (now husband).

There was an additional sketch that I wanted to try too, and I couldn't resist putting something together with the fabric paper from the same Dear Lizzy Spring collection.  My silly kiddos make my heart sing!
Thanks for the fun challenge, Van!

Crafty Paper Bee is finally here!

I'm proud to finally be a member of the blogging community!  I've wanted to set something up for quite some time to participate in crafty blog hops and just to share my enthusiasm for creative projects I've had the opportunity to create. I will be the first to admit that I'm not the most brilliant beast when it comes to online posting, so bare with me while I learn the blogging ropes!

I am a true paper lover, so the good majority of my crafts involve paper(cards, scrapbook pages, mini albums, altered projects with glue and paper).  But, I also love fabric art (most specifically quilting and small sewing projects) and anything to do with acrylic paint.  So, stay tuned...can't wait to share my posts with you!
