PGCB #125 - A Color Challenge

I can't believe that it is already April. The time is just flying by this year! Erica from the Paper Girls challenge blog has challenged us to create a project inspired by a beautiful color combo with vibrant spring colors. Here is my project:

I used papers from the Diane collection from SEI which matched perfectly with the scheme - they are beautifully glittery too. I colored the adorable tea cup stamp from Close to My Heart with CTMH watercolor pencils and blending pen. I added a tiny bit of orange hemp twine for the tea bag. Here is the color scheme I was trying to follow:

I used all My Favorite Things dies for this card; BluePrints 18 and BluePrints 14 (trimmed down a bit), and the mini scallop border die (which appears to be discontinued because I can't find it on their website) for a bit of detail along the edge in the center of the card.

I was inspired by the MFT sketch challenge this week as well as the Tea Time challenge on the Heart 2 Heart challenge blog - they all combined perfectly to make this sweet and colorful card.

I hope that you'll join the Paper Girls with this fun color challenge. You have until 11:55pm (MST) on Saturday, 4/15 to link to your project.

  1. Wow, a really great combination of all the challenges...beautiful. Love everything...the background, how you took on the colors and brought in that floral inspiration, and the variety of stamps from Tea-rrific. Great interpretation of all three challenges and we thank you at H2H for sharing this with us. Hope you join us each week again in April, we have great weekly theme challenges which generally can be combined with other challenges.

  2. What a bright and cheerful card! The background paper is the perfect backdrop for the cute teacup stamp. Thanks for sharing at Heart 2 Heart!

  3. Super fun, I love all the colours! Thanks for playing along with H2H challenges.
