PGCB #81 - Father's Day

Hello again!

I have a fun little card that I put together for Father's Day. I wanted to keep the color palate simple, so I tried to stick to two colors - blue and white. I have had this adorable stamp set from the Sweet Stamp Shop since last year, and unfortunately it is now retired, but it's still a favorite of mine.

I started by stamping my own patterned paper with the tools in the tool set, then matting the strip of faux patterned paper with strips of solid cardstock. I then stamped Dad on a circle die cut and matted with the same solid cardstock, but I outlined the word in grey with my Copics to help the word pop-out a bit. After it was all glued down, I added the ribbon with a knot (which I was afraid was a bit girly, but it really did put a final touch to the card, ha ha).

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to join us at Paper Girls Challenge Blog and link your Father's Day/Masculine project to the blog by midnight, Saturday, June 13th.

Cheers,
Brittany
