Growing In Unity - Day 3

Hello, happy Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by for day 3 of my Growing in Unity week and for the last two days of wonderful comments!

Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win! Two lucky people will win 25 Unity Stamps at the end of my week, so be sure to come back each day to visit and leave a comment.

This stamp set, Naturally You, was the first Unity stamp set I ever purchased, and I must admit it has received a LOT of love over the years. This turtle is probably one of my favorite images - it mixes so well with so many sentiments, babies, get well, etc., etc. I tend to reach for this set time and time again - as well as many other Unity sets :)

I colored this image by using my dye inks as a watercolor since I didn't seem to have the right shades of markers or pencils to match this paper - and I'm very impressed with how vibrant the color turned out! I'll certainly use that technique again - it's so frugal!

The papers are all from Close to My Heart - the patterned papers are from the retired Hopscotch collection, I'm in love with the color palette in this collection. It just screams "fun" to me.

Thanks again for stopping by! I have a couple more projects to share tomorrow and Friday - so I hope you'll come back to visit and leave a comment for a chance to win!

Have a great day!
Brittany

  11. I can see why you return to this set over and over again. I love the turtle, and the sentiment. I also like the layers you created without adding too much bulk to the card, especially the pennants. And the stitching detail is awesome!
