PGCB Blog Hop!

Hello, and happy "5th" Monday in March! This means that it is blog hop time over at the Paper Girls Challenge Blog!

Our theme was Party Decor...and if you've made it to my blog, you should have gotten here through Cathryn's blog. Just in case you, here is the line up so you can be sure you visit each blog and leave a comment...there is a pretty awesome prize from Unity Stamps waiting for one lucky hopper...hopefully it will be you!
Lucky enough for me, my daughters have birthdays very close together so we get to have big birthday parties. This year the new Cinderella movie was just released in theaters, so we had a fun party at the movie theater. BUT...I got carried away snapping pics of all the adorable little guests and failed to take nice pics of the party decor I spent several hours making :( So, instead...we just had a makeshift party at our house...with just the five of us so I could get the pictures I hoped to get. There is always room to celebrate more, right?

So...here is my second attempt to snap pics of the projects I made for the party (don't mind the odd green cupcakes...they were Watermelon flavored for this second "party" and were by demand of my littles with little contest from me...yum):

The banner was cut with my Cricut - I primarily used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge, some sparkly tool, and coordinating card stock. I loved the sparkle in the light blue cardstock, it reminded me of Cinderella's dress.

You can't have a girly party these days without a few pom-pom tissue flowers! These are fun to make...and to be honest, I've made several tissue flowers in multiple colors for various occasions and stuff them in bag in storage to use again. They fluff up beautifully each time.

And...the not so coordinating, but ever-so-yummy Watermelon cupcakes dressed up with the toothpick banners (that looked much better on the blue and purple cupcakes I had in the first party, sigh). I embossed plain white cardstock and then punched out several triangles, ran them through my Xyron, and sandwiched a toothpick on the large end.

I had made a few gifts for each of the guests...first these adorable sparkly magic wands. They are a styrofoam star coated with spray adhesive and sprinkled with Martha Stewart fine glitter (I really love that stuff, it can make anything pretty). I then hot glued some ribbon to a dowel and simply dressed it up with glittery tool.

Then there were mice...lots of adorable felt mice. BUT, this one is the only Gus Gus we had left after the party (I originally made 16 of these cuties). AND...I really ran out of time to get to make more before this hop. But, if you're ever curious on how to make these, they are VERY easy and the kids LOVE to help with this one. Here is the link to the Disney site to were I found the idea...and I'm pretty sure we'll be making more very soon.

And, here is one of my little princesses modeling the guest gifts!

Thank you for letting me share my story with you...I hope you enjoyed the projects!

Now be sure to hop over to Amber's blog.

Also, just a reminder...here is a pic of the incredible prize from Unity (and can I tell you...this is worth about $86!).
