Practical Scrappers Top 10!

It is such an honor to say that I made it into top 10 cards for the Practical Scrappers card contest! Thank you all who have voted for my cards and got me here!

This last round we were asked to create a thank you card that was mostly black and white and then add a punch of one additional color. We were also asked to add stitching of some form to the card.

I had a lot of fun with this one and challenged myself to try something different, so I learned how to do french knots :) I pulled together this pretty lil' card:

Here is a little bit better close up of the french knot detail. Instead of embroidery floss, I used twine from Amuse stamps, which gave it a little more texture than I anticipated, but I liked how it turned out:

There are some really good lookin' cards that the other ladies created for this round, so the voting is going to be close. Whether I make past this point or not, I am thrilled I got this far (especially since this is the first time I've ever done anything like this before).
So, please vote. You can choose 2 cards to vote for (hoping one will be mine, tee hee). The voting closes at midnight (EST) on Wednesday, 2/27.

Thank you all for stopping by!

  1. This card is so beautiful, Brittany! Love the french knots, and I wish I could color like that! Best of luck at Practical Scrappers!
